Born in 2005, Capricorn, INTJ, from Taoyuan. Perhaps I was born a bookworm; I’ve always found reading fascinating. I’ve done fairly well under Taiwan’s education system (though that’s hard to say, really?), and one of my greatest aspirations in life is to read every single day! I am currently a student in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at National Taiwan University and a participant in the 15th NTU Leadership Program.

As a child, my dream was to become an astronaut. My most memorable experience was watching the sunset every day and noticing that the sun’s position changed; I was thrilled at the time, thinking I’d discovered some secret, until I read my elementary school science textbook and realized it was just common knowledge.

In elementary school, inspired by Greenpeace and The Critical Report on Global Warming, I developed an interest in climate change and renewable energy, and spent a lot of time researching these topics online.

In junior high school, I was fortunate to have a mentor who loved reading and a science teacher passionate about science. The former instilled in me the belief that “you reap what you sow,” while the latter guided me to participate in the 60th Taoyuan City Primary and Secondary School Science Fair, where I won third place for my project “The Influence of Sound Hole Shape on Tone, sparking my aspiration to become a scientist.

In high school, I joined a project team focused on SDGs (now the Taiwan Association for Sustainable Education) and learned about the importance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We analyzed the issue of “food waste on campus” and took concrete actions. This experience convinced me that “sustainable development” is a belief and mission I must uphold throughout my life, which is why I chose to major in Atmospheric Science;I also discovered that I truly enjoyed the process of “working on projects and making an impact,” so I applied to the Leadership Program. At that time, I was introduced to the concept of “problem-solving,” which I believe is a mindset everyone should possess. The program instilled in me the belief that “everyone has unlimited potential.”

During my undergraduate years, I participated in the Sustainability Implementation Group of the Academic Division at the National Taiwan University Student Union andthe NTU Climate Action Society, where I led initiatives related to reusable meal containers and interviews with “green-collar” professionals. In the Spring 2024 semester, I took a Design Thinking Coach training course, which felt like discovering a whole new world and sparked my interest in “human-centered thinking” and “fuzzy problems.”

During the summer of 2025, I experienced the lowest point of my life, teetering on the edge of depression. I managed to recover through reading, counseling, and exercise.During the Spring 2025 semester, I took a presentation course at NTU, overcoming my self-imposed fear of public speaking. I also joined "Ling Sen," a student organization founded by NTU students, where I managed a storytelling podcast and handled external relations. This experience helped me develop a new sense of identity: "Lifestyle Advocate" —someone who, while striving for dreams and work, never forgets the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being!
